An Insightful Evening of Humanitarian Work Near and Far

Sarum Vision was delighted to be able to present the proceeds of our annual charity bike ride to Alabaré at their fundraising event on the 20th November. The fascinating evening included a talk by Larry Hollingworth, a prolific Salisbury based humanitarian aid worker. He detailed some of the refugee projects that he led over a period of 40 years including work in Africa, Bosnia, the West Bank and Pakistan. Mr Naeem Haq Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon from Sarum Vision was delighted to present a cheque for £1570.00 to Alabare on behalf of Sarum Vision. Mr Haq said it was humbling to hear of Larry’s work and although on a much smaller scale Sarum Vision was proud to be able to support a local charity on truly vital work in supporting those that have fallen on hard times in our local community.
