We realise attending appointments for healthcare can be a source of anxiety, particularly in the current climate of the Covid-19 pandemic. When you visit Sarum Vision, the safety and wellbeing of our patients, doctors and staff are our number one priority. We are adhering to all UK Government guidance to ensure Sarum Vision is Covid-secure and you can still access the care that you need.
We have worked hard on our patient journey to ensure that it is as safe as possible. Because we are a dedicated eye clinic we are able to have greater flexibility in our patient pathways. We schedule our appointments to ensure that there is only one patient within the clinic at any time. Therefore, we do not require you to self-isolate prior to your surgery nor afterwards, and you do not need to have a covid test prior to your appointment.
We do ask that you only attend Medcentres Plus if you have been invited to do so and you will be required to wear a surgical face mask on site. At present we ask that you attend the appointment alone. Anyone who is helping you to attend your Sarum Vision appointment should only enter the building with you if they are required to help you with any mobility, communication or language translation needs.
All of our equipment is thoroughly decontaminated in between patients in addition to our usual enhanced Covid-19 cleaning programme.When you attend you will be greeted by one of our receptionists and asked to check your temperature.
We have a comfortable waiting area where you can enjoy complimentary refreshments before you are called through for your consultation. If you are attending for surgery you will take the lift directly to the operating suite where you will be welcomed by one of our friendly nurses and offered some refreshments where appropriate.
Following your surgery you will be discharged directly from the operating complex with any medication you need.
