About Mr Naeem Haq
Mr Naeem Haq is a Consultant Eye Surgeon with a specialist interest in ‘keyhole’ micro-incision cataract surgery and lens replacement surgery for patients who wish to reduce their dependence on glasses. Mr Haq graduated from the University of Leeds and completed his post-graduate Ophthalmic Specialist Training in London and the Midlands.
He is a senior Consultant at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT) where he is lead clinician for Emergency Eye Care.
Mr Haq also leads the eyelid and tear duct service at SFT being a specialist in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery treating patients across Wilts, Hants and Dorset. Mr Haq is an Educational Supervisor, College Tutor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and sits on the Medical Education and Training Committee.
Mr Haq has presented his research all over the world and is a Principal Investigator for research in the Department of Ophthalmology at SFT and also a Medical Appraiser. He has an interest in Public Health Medicine and preventable blindness and has completed a Master of Public Health degree. He has performed research and cataract surgery for charities in developing countries.
Mr Haq is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.
